"Start at the beginning, go right through,
'til the end, then we start anew."
This recording is the result of many long years of growing, searching, praying, and discovering. It builds upon the music heard as a child, the rituals observed with wonder, and the teachers and rabbis who gave of themselves and of their spiritual beliefs. Some songs took years to write; others two hours of frantic scribbling after an inspired moment while standing in line at the supermarket. All germinated in the rich traditions of Judaism, in which family, heritage, music, study, and prayer play a significant role.
With "Sing Shalom", we start anew, offering these songs of faith. Our rabbi says "prayer, study, and acts of loving kindness" are the essence of Judaism. We offer these songs in the hope that they inspire prayer, study, and most importantly, family singing, one of the most loving and kind acts we can imagine. You are welcome in our sukkat shalom, our house of peace, and we thank you for your support.
